AlbanyMural is a group of formally educated artists led by Principal Artist Jan-Marie Spanard committed to the design and execution of enduring works of quality trompe l'oeil painting. Each work of art is created for a particular site and purpose. Its visual, cultural and architectural environments influence the design of each work.

AlbanyMural also assists architects in the restoration of historic murals and architectural wall painting using the same skills that are evident in our original mural paintings. Both murals and architectural restoration work are painted in Keim water-glass products which remain color fast and intact for more than 100 years. 

AlbanyMural has been based in New York State's Capital Region since the late 1990s. Our purpose is to enrich peoples' lives and environments by creating and restoring beautiful, engaging and interesting paintings. Trompe l'oeil painting enjoys universal appreciation. People of all ages and education from cultures all around the world are drawn to trompe l'oeil painting's mystery, mastery and surprises.

AlbanyMural contracts with both public and private organizations and individuals to create or restore murals and wall paintings.
